FAQS

A woman pondering about NDIS faqs

I'm not on the NDIS. Can you help me apply?

If you have a mental health condition that is severe and persistent,  is considered to be a permanent and life-long  condition that impacts your ability to complete daily tasks and participate with your community independently, then you maybe eligible to gain access to the NDIS and we can help you with your application.

What disabilities do you support?

We support a wide range of disabilities. We specialise in Psychosocial Disability and also support participants who have complex needs with more than one disability both physical and psychological. Some of these include: Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, Schizo-affective Disorder, Delusional Disorders, Depression and Anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Neurodevelopmental Disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorders and ADHD, Substance Abuse Disorders, Personality Disorders, Dementia, Stroke, Acquired Brain Injuries (ABIs), Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy, Intellectual Disorders, Paraplegia and many more.

How do I know what I can purchase with my NDIS funding?

The NDIS provides a guidelines about what is considered to be a "Reasonable and Necessary" purchase for your support.  To be considered the NDIS says the support or purchase should::

  • be related to your disability
  • be value for money
  • be likely to be effective and work for you
  • take into account supports you already receive from the government, your family, carers, support networks and the community
  • not include day-to-day living costs not related to your disability support needs

You should also ask yourself if it will:

  • increase my independence
  • it help me pursue my goals, objectives and aspirations
  • increase my participation in work or the community
  • develop my capacity to take part in the community

If you can justify your purchase to meet this criteria you will have the best chances that the NDIS will approve.
